A Mother’s Day Prayer

For my two favorite Moms (and every other Mom)

May your children rise and call you blessed,

May their blessing set your heart at rest.

Blessed and broken you have multiplied,

With a tireless love so deep and wide.

Mother’s through your caring we behold,

Glimpse the lovingkindness of our God.

Thank you for your faithful sacrifice,

enduring busy days and sleepless nights.

Jesus please refresh our precious Moms,

Draw them close to you where they belong.

Guard them from the devil who condemns,

To his accusation put an end.

Let them know your pleasure as they serve,

Pouring out their grace with no reserve.

Father as we honor Mom’s today,

Pour your Spirit’s grace on them, we pray.
